Matua Rawiri’s Shout Out

Tēnā Koutou Parents and Caregivers

Welcome back to Term 4. Nine weeks to go and our Year 8’s move on to secondary school and school ends for another year.

I hope you all had a refreshing two week’s holiday and are ready to see the end of this year. This term will be filled with exciting camps at Epworth for our three kāinga ako, with many EOTC (Education Outside The Classroom) experiences. Thank you to the staff for making this possible. Our school prom is another major event at the end of the year in the last week, along with the final school prizegiving on Thursday 14th December from 10.00am to 12.00pm. Students have permission to leave after prizegiving and school will officially close at 12.00pm. The staff will have a half day planning for 2024.

As mentioned last term, we will be consulting with our community on our strategic direction and giving you an opportunity to have input. We are very happy with the progress we have made with Mokoia Intermediate over the past six years. We are heading in the right direction and we will continue to make this a safe, caring learning environment.

Welcome to the new students who have enrolled this week. Our current roll is 382.
